About Modules
Modules is a project by Maxim Zhestkov, where different forms of art – architecture, sculpture, film, and music – blend together to create an intense, interactive virtual experience.
A total work of art by Zhestkov, it is a world that questions the established definitions of our reality. In digital space, we can abandon the logic of reality and are freed from its boundaries. New worlds with total freedom are possible, worlds only limited by our creativity and the potential of art.
About clusters
Modules will expand to contain Maxim Zhestkov’s entire body of work. Over the course of years, the project will grow as he grows, expanding into new territories and blurring the boundaries between art, games, and reality.
Cluster 1
The first iteration of the project marks the start of Maxim’s virtual universe with a reinterpretation of one of his first art projects — Modul, released in 2009. Reimagined as a series of surreal experiences with space and dynamic sculptures, Modules is an immersive experience that can be seen both in VR headset and on a desktop.
Album
Sound and music in Modules are an integral part of the gallery. Moving beyond the virtual world, soundtrack of Modules can be experienced as a music album.
Released every half a year, clusters tell their own story and bring new functionality and meaning to the gallery.
